StrucSure Home
Warranty provides this helpful information for
homeowners who want solid direction in remodeling or improving their home.
If you are
thinking about hiring a contractor to remodel your home, we
want to help make the experience a positive one. Here are
key items we urge you to consider when selecting a
contractor:
-
There should be
a written agreement or contract outlining the work to be
performed and other project details.
-
They should have
valid references you can call.
-
They should
provide an insurance-backed warranty that covers workmanship and materials
(with an optional provision to cover structural components
depending on your project).
StrucSure Home
Warranty’s Remodelers Program offers peace-of-mind during
and after your remodeling project. This new program
protects you against issues that can (and sometimes do) occur during
or after a home remodel, including workmanship, materials
and structural issues.
Your remodeler is
responsible for electing coverage from StrucSure Home
Warranty before your project begins. The cost for
coverage is minimal and is rolled into the total cost of the
remodel project.
In order to
qualify as a remodeler under our program, we complete a
financial screening of the contractor / company and require they meet stringent
underwriting requirements. This helps you to feel
confident that the remodeler you choose is both ethical
and reputable.
If your remodeler
is not part of our program, ask them to join so you can sleep
better at night knowing that your home is covered during
(and after) your remodel project.
